Governor Lamont, Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz Announce Strong Fundraising Quarter with Broad Statewide Support

Governor Ned Lamont and Lieutenant Governor Susan Byesiewicz announced today that they have raised a combined $416,811.55 during the first fundraising quarter of the year, more than doubling the previous quarter’s total and demonstrating a powerful momentum behind their reelection campaign. To date, the pair have raised a combined $845,950.92.

“Since launching our campaign, Susan and I have traveled across the state and heard one message loud and clear: people believe in Connecticut,” said Governor Ned Lamont. “We’ve worked hard to turn this state around; building confidence, reducing healthcare costs, investing in childcare, and standing up for our values. We’re building on that progress and working to get universal pre-k across the finish line, ensuring everyone has access to good, affordable healthcare, that every kid can have free breakfast at school, and that we have cleaner, cheaper energy. We’re ready, and we’re going to keep delivering real results for our state.”

More than 778 individuals contributed to the Governor’s re-election campaign this quarter, with most contributions coming from small-dollar donors and an average contribution of $166. Contributions were spread out across the state, with donations coming from 139 different towns so far this year. Governor Lamont has raised $214,251.77 since launching this past November.

“Every day, I see the incredible energy of working families who are proud of the progress we’re making in Connecticut,” said Lt. Gov Susan Bysiewicz. “We are focused on expanding childcare, protecting fundamental rights, and making sure every family has the opportunity to thrive. This support reflects that shared commitment to continue our progress.”

Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz reported a strong fundraising quarter as well, raising $287,382.21 from more than 854 contributors. Her campaign drew support from 151 towns across the state, with an average contribution of $336.

“Our fundraising proves the Governor’s message is resonating in every corner of Connecticut” said Roger Senserrich, Press Secretary. “Our campaign is gathering more grassroot support than any other candidate in this election, thanks to the strong progressive record of this administration. We have a broad, unified base of support that is energized and ready to stand up against Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters and win the election this November. ”
