Governor Lamont Launches New Ad Declaring He's Too Impatient to Wait on Lowering the Cost of Living
HARTFORD, CT – Today, Governor Ned Lamont’s campaign released a new ad, “Coffee,” in which the Governor makes the case that Connecticut families can’t afford to wait for relief from the cost of living and that’s why he’s gotten to work on lowering everyday costs.
In the ad, the Governor touts the results he’s already delivered, such as cutting middle-class taxes and saving families $400 a year on their electric bills, as well as his agenda for his next term, which includes pushing for affordable health care and universal pre-K for every family in the state.
“Look, I’m an impatient guy. I happen to think that’s a good thing,” Lamont says in the ad. “When costs are this high, I’m not someone who just waits around. We cut middle class taxes. We’re saving you $400 a year on electric bills. And I’m not resting until we have affordable healthcare for everyone and universal pre-K.”

The ad builds on Lamont’s record of delivering real, permanent relief for Connecticut families, from the largest income tax cut in state history to a capped car tax and expanded support for working families, while continuing to push for lower health care costs and universal pre-K in the next term.
“Governor Lamont isn’t interested in waiting around while families struggle to keep up with the cost of living,” said Lauren Gray, Communications Director for the Ned Lamont Campaign. “He’s already delivered real relief for Connecticut families, he’s made it clear that he’s not done. With all the chaos and expense Washington is adding to family budgets, they don’t have time to wait, and neither does he.”
The ad is airing on television alongside digital and social platforms.
