Scheduler and Executive Aid
Governor Ned Lamont’s 2026 re-election campaign is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Scheduler & Executive Aide to manage the candidate’s schedule and support the day-to-day operations of the campaign manager. This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role for someone who thrives on organization and logistics, problem-solving, and keeping a campaign operation running smoothly.
The Scheduler & Executive Aide will be responsible for building and maintaining the candidate’s daily and long-term schedule and serving as a key administrative and operational partner to the campaign manager. This role requires strong judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and regularly update the candidate’s daily and long-term schedule, ensuring efficient use of time and alignment with campaign priorities.
- Help coordinate logistics for campaign events including fundraisers, meetings, call time, travel, and public appearances.
- Work closely with senior leadership, political, field, and communications teams to prioritize and schedule campaign activities.
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve issues to keep the campaign on track.
- Prepare and distribute daily and weekly memo documents for the candidate and senior staff.
- Serve as a gatekeeper for the candidate’s time, ensuring requests are vetted and aligned with campaign strategy.
- Staff the candidate at events and assist with on-the-ground execution as needed.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the campaign manager, including calendar management, meeting coordination, follow-ups, general tasks.
- Help track key internal deadlines, deliverables, and campaign priorities across departments.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding scheduling and logistics.
- Support travel planning, including transportation, lodging, and advance coordination.
- Assist with special projects and campaign-wide operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 cycles of campaign experience or equivalent experience in scheduling, operations, or executive support roles.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
- Experience managing complex calendars and logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with campaign environments and political operations is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Sheets) and other scheduling or project management tools.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel and be on-site with the candidate as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly salary of $4,500 – $5,500 commensurate with experience
- Mileage stipend
