Regional Organizing Director

Governor Ned Lamont’s 2026 re-election campaign is seeking experienced, organized, and dependable Regional Organizing Directors to oversee and implement the campaign’s field program at the regional level. This role is ideal for a strong organizer with demonstrated team management skills who can lead people, execute larger-scale programs, and remain directly engaged in voter contact work.

Regional Organizing Directors will oversee field organizing staff, support major field events and voter contact programs, and ensure that the campaign’s field plan is being implemented consistently and effectively across assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the campaign’s field plan across assigned regions, ensuring voter contact, turnout, and organizing goals are met.
  • Supervise, manage, and support field organizing staff, providing clear direction, accountability, coaching, and day-to-day leadership.
  • Draw from team members’ strengths, empowering them to maximize their talents; contribute where needed to achieve and exceed campaign goals.
  • Guide staff with regular feedback and recognition, clearly laying out expectations and priorities.
  • Organize, lead, and participate in voter contact initiatives including canvassing, phone banking, texting, voter registration, and constituency mobilization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and staff large-scale field events, canvasses, and volunteer-driven programs.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage volunteers in coordination with field staff.
  • Track regional field metrics and progress toward goals, troubleshoot challenges, and report regularly to senior field leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality control through training, monitoring, and consistent use of VAN.
  • Identify and coordinate campaign presence at events in their region.
  • Coordinate closely with political, communications, and operations teams to support integrated campaign execution.
  • Staff the candidate and campaign surrogates at field-driven events and regional organizing activities as needed.
  • Support convention preparation and general election field operations.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 cycles of campaign organizing or field experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and supervising organizing staff or volunteer teams.
  • Strong understanding of voter contact programs and field organizing best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and execute larger-scale programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with VAN, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office; Canva a plus.
  • Willingness to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience organizing in Connecticut strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly salary of $4,750 - $5,500 commensurate with experience
